From an early age Gerald has exhibited a passion for construction. Gerald got his start in residential construction through his father and grew up working in the trades. He attended Appleton West High School where he focused his studies on construction and was awarded the Technology Achievement Award his senior year. He went on to earn his Bachelors of Science in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Gerald is a Certified Associate Constructor through the American Institute of Constructors. Never one to settle, he remains on the cusp of building innovation by working closely with the Focus on Energy New Homes Program and building upon his expertise by enrolling in continuing education classes.
I have a passion for helping people find the right home for them. Ever since graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point I have worked in outside sales and/or service related positions. When my daughter was born in 2009, I took the leap of becoming a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group in Waupaca.
In 2012, My family and I returned to the Appleton area and were looking for our next house. We look at many houses and finally decided on building. We knew from looking at some spec houses that we wanted to get a quote from Virtue Homes just do to the quality of their finish work. They really seemed to care about their final product.
Upon interviewing many local builders and weighing all options, the decision was made to build with Virtue Homes LLC and couldn’t have been happier. You hear all the bad stories about building and we loved every minute of it. During that time a relationship formed with Gerald and I was asked to list the spec homes Virtue Homes was building. I worked hard to better understand the building process and help Virtue Homes better find their niche in the market. In 2015, I was formally hired on to help customers looking to build a custom home. With the knowledge I gained of the building process and having gone through it recently myself I feel I bring a different view that customers seem to appreciate. There are a lot of things that many customers don’t realize about building a house and I will be there to help guide them through the process, really just doing what I enjoy.
My wife and I spent a lot of time talking with builders and touring homes before we stumbled into a Virtue Home. After talking with Gerald and tweaking his floor plan my wife and I knew we wanted to build with Virtue Homes. The attention to detail was awesome and every cost was discussed up front so that we knew exactly what we were spending money on. Gerald's communication throughout the entire project was great and even managed to finish our home under budget. Also the suppliers that Gerald works with added to the fun of the process.~ Ben Morton
